‍ ‍Space City Performance & Wellness was founded from a simple belief: peak performance is never just physical. True success is built through the connection between movement, mental resilience, confidence, and overall well-being.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, former collegiate athlete, and entrepreneur, Lauren brings together a unique combination of mental health expertise and firsthand athletic experience. Growing up as a multi-sport athlete before competing as a collegiate softball pitcher, she learned early that success requires far more than talent. As both a pitcher and basketball team captain, she experienced the responsibility of leading others, performing under pressure, overcoming setbacks, and developing the mental resilience that translates far beyond the field.

Those experiences shaped the leader she would become. Throughout her career, Lauren has served in leadership roles within behavioral health, helping individuals navigate challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to serious mental illness. Her work has been recognized nationally, including being featured in The New York Times for innovative work in mental health.

As both a mental health professional and a single mother raising a young athlete, Lauren also understands youth sports from the perspective of the parent. She knows the countless hours families invest in practices, tournaments, travel, and training, often sacrificing their own physical and emotional well-being along the way. That experience inspired the vision behind Space City Performance & Wellness: a place where athletes can maximize their potential while parents and families have access to resources that support their own health, wellness, and personal growth.

Lauren believes athletic performance and mental wellness are inseparable. Confidence, focus, resilience, emotional regulation, and the ability to perform under pressure are trainable skills just like strength and mechanics. Her passion is helping athletes and families build those skills through evidence-based care while creating an environment where every individual, not just the athlete, has the opportunity to thrive.

Together with our Director of Biomechanics & Athletic Performance, Lauren is committed to integrating movement science, sport performance, and mental wellness into one comprehensive model that helps athletes perform at their highest level while supporting long-term health and quality of life.
